Securing the Energy Union: Five Pillars and Five Regions
In this report for the
EU Institute for Security Studies, Gerald Stang et al examine the role of the
European Energy Union in addressing the energy challenges facing the five European regions, and investigate their shared priorities, common projects, and barriers to integration and cooperation. They highlight efforts to advance the construction of the
Energy Union via regional initiatives, including some that reach beyond EU borders. The interconnection of energy markets is central to this process.
