End Extreme Poverty - Boost Shared Prosperity

Reducing poverty and improving equity
Oct 12, 2017 | World Bank

Sustainable economic growth offers the surest path out of poverty. In its efforts to reduce global poverty, the World Bank (WB) has set two key targets: Ending extreme poverty by 2030; and boosting prosperity among the poorest 40 percent in low- and middle-income countries. This WB report sets out ways to achieve sustainable and inclusive economic growth by supporting investments that underpin long-term growth; strengthening resilience to global shocks; helping countries to meet their essential infrastructure needs, through analysis, advice, financial instruments and, by developing a solid evidence base to enable countries to make informed development decisions for lasting impact.
