East Asia and Pacific Cities Expanding Opportunities for the Urban Poor

Reducing poverty and improving equity
Oct 23, 2017 | World Bank

With an estimated 250 million people living in slums, the East Asia and Pacific (EAP), region has the largest slum population in the world. Approximately 75 million people live below the US$3.10/day poverty line in both lower-middle-income and upper-middle-income countries. It offers guiding principles for inclusive cities through multiple, interlinked economic, spatial, and social dimensions
