Education about the Holocaust and preventing Genocide - A Policy Guide

Addressing vulnerability and promoting security
Jan 28, 2018 | UNESCO

This publication by UNESCO provides guidance for policy-makers who seek to implement the study of the Holocaust and, more broadly, the study of genocide and mass atrocities in their education systems. It describes how and why teaching and learning about the Holocaust can support global policy priorities, including cultivating global citizenship, promoting human rights, and developing a culture of peace and prevention of genocide, and explores how educators can deal with deeply troubling histories, to build better futures.
