South Asia is one of the most crisis-prone regions with contested borders, militarized interstate disputes, and terrorist attacks. In this study for the Stimson Center, Sameer Lalwani and Hannah Haegeland present ten chapters from authors from China, India, Pakistan, and the United States who assess South Asian crises from 1987-2017 and consider their implications for the future of crisis management on the subcontinent.
