Conflict, violence and persecution have driven the number of people forcibly displaced for the sixth consecutive year, to an estimated 68.5 million. And 2.8 million more people were identified as refugees than in the previous year. Most of those forcibly displaced (62 percent) remained in their own countries. This annual report by
DevelopmentInitiatives examines the effectiveness and efficiency of humanitarian financing and related aid flows, and shows where resources are needed, who they come from, where they go and how they get there.
