G-20 Report on Strong, Sustainable, Balanced, and Inclusive Growth

Delivering sustainable economic growth
Jan 17, 2019 | IMF

The G-20 economies continue to grow strongly, but financial vulnerabilities are hampering progress toward more balanced, sustainable, and inclusive growth. This report by the IMF details the strength and steadiness of global expansion, suggests that policies should focus on reforms for lasting and more widely shared growth, and emphasises that the global economy relies on an open and rules-based international trading system, whose modernization should continue.  While needed buffers will reduce growth over the short term, structural reforms will increase productivity and help lift the level of GDP by about four percent relative to the baseline over the longer term.
