Urgent work is needed to build consensus on the implementation strategy for the SDG targets, bringing together partners around a roadmap to strengthen delivery through effective partnerships. The Pathfinders for Peaceful, Just and Inclusive Societies are motivated by the centrality of justice and inclusion in all aspects of sustainable development. In this paper for New York University’s Center for International Cooperation, Karina Gerlach contextualizes SDG16 in this process and justifies its importance to crisis prevention and social development.
