Sep 12, 2019 | Stimson Center’s Just Security 2020

This report by the Stimson Center’s Just Security 2020 program offers policy-makers, activists, the media, and experts an updated analysis and a prioritised set of proposals from the Albright-Gambari Commission’s recommendations. The global governance renewal and reform ideas advanced in the report comprise an innovation agenda that can set the United Nations and other global institutions on a more secure footing. The recommendations are grouped in four thematic categories: Conflict and state fragility, climate governance, the hyper-connected global economy, and global institutions and civil society. The report presents a roadmap to maximise the utility of the UN 75 (2020) Leader’s Summit in strengthening and restructuring global institutions to meet new needs.
