A Consensus Proposal for a Revised Regional Order in Post-Soviet Europe and Eurasia

Disputes over the regional order in post-Soviet Europa and Eurasia are at the core of the stained relationship between Russia and the West. The authors of the report by the Rand Corporation – experts from the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, the Rand Corporation and Peace in Europe – offer suggestions to strengthen regional security, facilitate increased prosperity and manage or settle long-standing conflicts in the region. The revised order would limit confrontations among local players and stabilise competition between Russia and the West.
