Gender, Think-Tanks and International Affairs: A Toolkit

Sharing core norms and values
Feb 17, 2021 | Chatham House, Centre for Feminist Foreign Policy, British American Security Information Council,

When gender-sensitive approaches and inclusion initiatives succeed, organizations are more resilient, innovative, and better at decision-making. Compiled by staff at Chatham House, the Centre for Feminist Foreign Policy and the British American Security Information Council, this toolkit provides think-tanks with guidance on adapting organizational structures, activities, and practices to embed greater awareness of gender and adopt gender-sensitive approaches. The authors build on an existing body of research and practice by encouraging think-tanks to examine their own processes and to focus not just on women’s representation, but on the structures and systems that perpetuate biases and inequalities.
