While they are insufficient to meet the vast needs, billions of dollars are being invested in advocacy, policy, and programming for girls’ education around the world. The policies and approaches that are pursued often do not correspond with what researchers find is effective. In this report by the

et al propose a path for girls’ education, based on needs and evidence. It outlines interventions that have been shown to work in some contexts; common approaches in girls’ education that have not yet been shown to work; and key gaps in current practice.
