Working Group on Climate, Nuclear, and Security Affairs: Report One

Addressing vulnerability and promoting security
Dec 14, 2017 | Working Group on Climate, Nuclear, and Security Affairs, Center for Climate and Security

The global security environment is complex, evolving and sometimes rapidly changing. The effects of climate change complicate that landscape, and intersect with nuclear trends, including new countries seeking nuclear energy, new pressures on the nonproliferation regime, and many persisting or increasing nuclear risks. This report by Working Group on Climate, Nuclear, and Security Affairs (CNSA) on a conference of the Center for Climate and Security, sets out a framework for understanding and addressing the connections between climate change, security, and nuclear issues. The framework can guide planning and policies to help countries navigate and create a more resilient world.
