World Social Protection Report 2017-19

Social protection is defined as the set of policies and programmes designed to reduce and prevent poverty and vulnerability throughout the human life cycle. It is key in achieving sustainable development, promoting social justice and realizing the right to social security. This annual report by the ILO provides an overview of recent trends in social protection systems, including social protection floors, and offers global, regional and country data on social protection.
