Towards a More Resilient Euro Area: Ideas from the ‘Future Europe’ forum

Improving global governance
Jun 21, 2018 | Centre for European Policy Studies, ESMT Berlin, German Council of Economic Experts

As Europe faces significant challenges and difficult decisions, new policy proposals need to be developed and coordinated internationally. To do this, the Centre for European Policy Studies, ESMT Berlin, and the German Council of Economic Experts formed the Future Europe forum in 2017. In this joint publication, the three organisations present the views of researchers and thought leaders three categories of issues: Fiscal and structural questions, banking and financial issues, and institutional matters. The search for a more resilient euro area based on sound economic principles, rather than political expediency or prejudices, is common to all.
